Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly organized and professional Remote Medical Assistant to support daily healthcare operations within a healthcare staffing environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are interested in medical administration, patient support, clinical documentation, appointment coordination, healthcare communication, and remote medical office services.

As a Remote Medical Assistant, you will assist with maintaining accurate patient records, coordinating appointments, supporting provider and patient communication, organizing medical documentation, updating healthcare systems, and helping ensure administrative and patient support tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily medical administrative operations, patient coordination, and virtual healthcare office tasks
  • Assist with patient intake, appointment scheduling, follow-up coordination, and provider communication
  • Maintain accurate patient records, medical forms, demographic information, and administrative documentation
  • Update and manage information within EMR systems, healthcare databases, CRM platforms, spreadsheets, and internal tracking tools
  • Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare professionals, providers, clients, managers, and internal staffing teams through phone, email, and virtual platforms
  • Review medical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and required follow-up
  • Track appointment requests, patient updates, documentation needs, referral details, and task completion
  • Assist with insurance verification, prior authorization tracking, billing support, and medical record updates when needed
  • Prepare basic reports, patient updates, workflow notes, and administrative summaries
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow healthcare privacy, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Support patient inquiries, provider requests, internal communications, and general medical office support
  • Perform additional medical administrative and coordination duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in medical assisting, healthcare administration, patient support, medical office administration, customer service, scheduling, or data entry preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, EMR systems, CRM systems, scheduling tools, and virtual communication platforms
  • Accurate data entry, recordkeeping, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment
  • Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, patient records, healthcare compliance, insurance verification, or clinical administrative workflows is an asset but not required
